5 Bible Verses That Will Bring You Peace

In this crazy world, it is easy to bogged down and to feel anxious because of what we see going on around us. But God’s word is meant to offer us hope and peace so that we do not have to fear tomorrow.

In this post, I will be sharing with you 5 Bible verses that will hopefully comfort you and bring you peace.

Philippians 4:6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Romans 8:6

The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the spirit is life and peace.

Okay, so I just had to comment on this one. In the past few years, this verse has played such an important part in my life. It is so, so easy to give our minds over to worry, anger, fear, and any other feelings that are not from God. This verse says that if we allow our mind to be governed by the flesh, it leads to death.

That is why it is so important that we look to God when we start to feel any of these feelings. Whenever we start to feel bogged down by any of these worldly things, for only good things are from God, we need to stop and look to the Lord. Let Him control your mind because a mind governed by the spirit leads to life and peace!

Psalms 29:11

The LORD gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.

John 14:27

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

(Remember that this is Jesus talking to his disciples.) I love this verse so much! I don’t know about you, but the part where Jesus says “I do not give to you as the world gives.” sticks out to me.

I don’t know about you, but when I start to focus more on the world than on God, things start to feel hopeless, scary, etc. But Jesus does not give as the world gives. From Jesus, we can have true, unconditional peace and joy!

1 Peter 5:7

Cast all your anxiety on Him because he cares for you.

One more piece of commentary! This verse is a great reminder of what we are supposed to do when we become worried, anxious, or scared. Have a conversation with God! Tell Him what is on your mind and place your burdens at His feet.

You never have to worry about annoying God by talking to Him too much or by bringing to Him all of your troubles, no matter how big or small. In fact, the Bible says that we are to “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17) God wants us to bring our cares to Him and to be talking to Him all of the time because He loves us so, so much!

What do you think?

And that everything that I have for you today! I will keep praying that these verses impact everyone who reads them!
