5 Encouraging Bible Verses to Make Your Day Better!

Happy lady in field with words that say "5 Encouraging Bible Verses" and "simplifythesparkle.com"

Hello, everyone! I’m back with another post for you this week! So sorry I missed last week’s post. Things got busy and I got sick, but I’m back!

For those of you who don’t know me… Hi! I’m Hailee, a reading, musical theater- loving Christ-follower! Click here to learn more about me and my mission.

Anyways, back to the matter at hand. Have you ever just felt like everything’s hopeless? Like no matter what you do, nothing changes and the world just keeps going, going, going but you don’t have the energy to keep up with it? I know I have.

In this post, I am going to make it my goal to offer you encouragement through what the Bible says. Maybe you feel like reading a bunch of words from an old book doesn’t seem like it could possibly make you feel any better.

Trust me, friend, give it a go. I’ll be praying that God works in your heart to uplift and encourage you!

Verse #1

“Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.’”

Mark 10:27

Oh, I love this verse so much! When we are going through trials, sometimes it seems like we will never get out of them. Maybe it even seems like God isn’t helping us get through the tough times. This verse can remind us that NOTHING is impossible with God. He can heal our wounds, get us through the trials, save those who seem too lost to be saved; the list goes on and on!

Wherever you are right now in your walk with God, whatever you are going through, bring your cares and worries to God because with Him, all things are possible!

Verse #2

“The LORD makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand.”

Psalm 37:23-24

I don’t know about you, but this verse really does encourage me. If we delight in the Lord, meaning that we find peace, joy, and fulfillment in Him, He will establish and make firm our steps. Though we may still stumble and have troubles in this world… We. Will. Not. Fall. The Lord upholds us with His hand!

Isn’t that just so comforting?! No matter what, if we find our peace in Christ, He’s got us! Though we may stumble, we will not fall!

Verse #3

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.”

Psalm 46:1-3

Isn’t this Psalm just so good? I think that it is a perfect representation of what is going on in the world today. There is so much craziness going on around us. So many unknowns. We don’t have to fear, though. God wants to be our “refuge and strength, an ever present help” in times of trouble. We have no reason to fear! None. Absolutely none. Not one reason.

Like the previous verse said, though we may stumble, we will not fall! God is, and will always be, taking care of us! Even when it feels like He isn’t, I promise, GOD promises, that He will work everything out for good! We have no reason to fear!

Verse #4

“’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.’”

Jeremiah 29:11-13

Of course I couldn’t write this post without putting Jeremiah 29:11 in here! This, I think, will always be one of my favorite Bible verses. I know how crazy the world can get. One minute you may have your life planned out and everything is going great, then the next minute everything is messed up and you don’t know what will happen next.

I know that this happens, but we can’t take our eyes off of what God has told us. That His plans for us are not to harm us, but to make us prosper! Once we are in it, nothing can snatch us out of His hand! (John 10:28) God has plans to give us a hope and a future! Nothing will ever change that!

Verse #5

“…being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 1:6

Honestly, I encourage you to read the whole book of Philippians. It is one of my favorites and is pretty short so it won’t take you very long. I love this verse so much! It is such a good reminder that God will never give up on us!

Even though we will make mistakes and stray from God at one point or another, He will always be there calling us back to Him because He who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion. God won’t give up on you, no matter how messed up your life gets.

What do you think?
